Tuesday 10th July 2012
In a little over six weeks the children of St James read over 1250 books, which amounts to more than 172,590 pages raising an amazing £3,500 for Harper Collins Volunteer Reading Help programme .
Kerry Saretksy and Tara Al Azzawi from Harper Collins, came to school on Friday to meet some of the children who had excelled during the event. Kerry and Tara commented on how thrilled they were “by the commitment and support of both parents and teachers and the obvious interest and delight the children found in books.” Congratulations to everyone who took part and keep reading!
