Admissions

We cater for boys aged 11 to 18.

Boys are considered for admission at 11+, 13+ and 16 (Sixth Form entry).

Parents who are seeking admission at 10+ should contact the Junior School in Olympia - 020 7348 1777

11+ Entrance Exam

The 11+ is the main entry stage for the school. There is an 11+ Entrance Exam held in January for entrance in the following September (Click here for more information). The candidates must be registered and are tested in Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning. All candidates are interviewed by the Headmaster.

Specific Learning Differences

At this stage in the selection process, every step will be taken to accommodate the needs of those with a specific learning difference (SLD). Extra time or the use of a word processor may be allowed in part of the exam (subject to the written recommendation of an educational psychologist and the approval of St James' Learning Support Co-ordinator).

Common Entrance (13+)

Boys who have been educated in Prep Schools may gain admission through the Common Entrance scheme. Any parents who wish to know more about this means of entry should access the website on www.iseb.co.uk.

Entry at 16+ (Sixth Form)

Entry to the Sixth Form is by interview, subject to satisfactory results being obtained at GCSE. An A*, A or B grade is required in the subjects to be studied at A Level, in addition to a range of good passes in other subjects. The minimum standard to be considered for entry into the 6th Form is six B grades at GCSE.
