Seventh Form

Seventh Form is the schools' alumni association and its members are all former pupils of the St James and St Vedast schools. Membership is automatic on finishing or leaving St James and the aim of Seventh Form is to enable our members to keep in contact with one another and with the schools. We also help to provide support to the schools as needed.

The main feature of our calendar is the Annual Weekend which takes place just before Easter every year. On the Saturday evening, we host a ball at a central London location. Last year, the theme was A Hollywood Celebration and we were graced with the presence of two stars, Marilyn Monroe and Michael Jackson (or very good look-alikes!).

On the Sunday morning of the same weekend, is the Sports Day where the Former Pupils play the top school teams in lacrosse, rugby and football. The matches are often very keenly contested, though it is not too long into the matches when our former pupils start to feel their age given that they are competing against younger - and fitter - sixth formers!

We also produce the SEVEN magazine annually - which provides news on the wide variety of activities former pupils get up to after they leave the schools. More than anything else it demonstrates the vibrancy, dynamism and spirit of adventure which Seventh Form members take into the world after they leave the schools.

St Vedast was a school established for senior boys and girls in 1975, before the recently-founded St James Schools were able to accommodate older pupils. It was eventually merged into St James.
