Most impressive was the Junior Team's result. With three to score, the team managed 1st, 2nd and 3rd, winning easily. Toby Clyde, Robert Mendes da Costa and Pietro Blasi were the top three.
The Intermediate age group struggled against some tough competition and came 3rd in their age group.

Rowing - Dorney Lake Time Trials - 30th January
Rowers from the St James Senior Squad took part in the The Thames Valley Trial Head on Sunday 30th January. The Trial is a rowing time trial held over a 1900m course at Dorney Lake, Eton.
For the boys, the time trials served two purposes. One to test their ability against schools and clubs from the Home Counties and beyond, and two, to see whether the teams would meet the qualifying standard for the National Schools Rowing Championships.
The boys, who have been training up to 6 times a week, did themselves proud. Not only did they beat teams from Twickenham RC, Wallingford RC and the American School, but also some Junior University teams as well. They also found out that their time would have been good enough to qualify for the National Schools last year. To reach the National Schools finals, however, they must now improve their times further, meaning more hard work and more training.
