Presentations in assembly
This term pupils were invited by the Headmistress to make presentations on topics which interest and inspire them. Those who came forward with their offerings were:
Year 7: Chloe Sutton, on 'Creepy Crawlies'; Eloise and Mishika on 'Global Warming'.
Year 8M: Rhea, on 'Adaptation in Nature';Reem and Mona, on 'Islam'.
Year 8A: Shiraz and Haya, on 'You don't know how lucky you are!'
Year 11: 'The Jessica Deakin Show' - on saving fuel and water. This included a competition to see which classes can use the least energy by turning off lights etc.
Year 12: Charlotte and Kyra, on their forthcoming Community service trip to Romania.
Year 13: Economics pupils, Sanya, Mala and Rojin, on 'The Congestion Charge'.
Visiting speakers were Mrs N Wright (past pupil) who spoke about meditation; Father Lawrence Freeman, a Benedictine monk, also on meditation; a Palestinian Christian, Mr Ghassan Makhalfeh who spoke about life in the Holy Land, and Mrs Abramson who spoke about Israel.
We have also enjoyed the music provided by pupils on Monday mornings.

We were delighted to hear Sarah speak to the assembly about her drawings and the development of her beautiful horse sculpture.
