This edition of Centre Stage is with our three new interns Maya Williams, Daisy Nearchou and Callum Main.

All three of our interns were students at St James, Maya and Callum joined the Prep School in Reception, continued through to the Senior Girls’ and Senior Boys’ School respectively and left in Year 13. Daisy joined the Senior Girls’ School in Year 7 and left in Year 11.

Maya graduated from Durham last year with a degree in Health & Human Sciences, and is applying for a post graduate degree in Medicine. One of Maya’s favourite memories was learning how to play lacrosse in the Senior Girls’ School, and later representing Wales in Lacrosse at the Nationals.

Daisy is looking forward to undertaking her undergraduate degree in Newcastle next year where she will study Finance and Economics. Before then she is hoping to go travelling in South East Asia with friends. Daisy’s favourite memory from St James was cooking for the elderly as part of Care in the Community.

Callum graduated from the Senior Boys’ School in the summer. He enjoyed lots of things about his time at St James, but his best memory is being on the school’s 1st team for rugby. Callum has a few plans up his sleeve for this year and next, which no doubt are centred around something to do with sport.
