Dear Parents
This term our core value is ‘taking responsibility’. We are encouraging the children to take responsibility for their words and actions. This includes completing their homework, tidying up after themselves, wearing the correct uniform and being on time for school. Please can you follow up with this at home.
It has been lovely to see how many parents are using the café after school and we are excited to announce the winner of the Art Competition in assembly on Friday. Their picture will be proudly displayed, and they will receive a £50 voucher for a local art shop.
Art lessons with Mrs Fischel will be relocating to the café on Tuesday mornings so that you can have a coffee whilst you draw. We have plans afoot to start a book club and plenty of community events in the near future.. Please note that scooters are not allowed in the café and that it is a no-mobile phone zone. The supervision of your children is your responsibility once the teachers have dismissed them to you. We look forward to seeing the courtyard abuzz with people after half-term.
I do hope that you have a restful and happy weekend.
Best wishes
Mrs Wyatt
At St James, we feel it is important to introduce our pupils to stillness and allow them to discover how to be inwardly free and deeply at ease within themselves. A short period of 5-10 minutes at the beginning and middle of every day is allocated to quietude in which pupils may meditate, contemplate or simply be still – according to their own spiritual inclinations.
