Dear parents
What a busy half-term we have had! The staff have been working hard to make sure that the children are all excelling at their schoolwork, and the recent round of lesson observations by the senior leadership team has shown just what a talented and dedicated teaching team we have at St James. Academic standards are high, and our pupils continue to perform well at so many things, especially at their 11+ exams. Their resilience and positivity when faced with the pressure of the exams has been most admirable.
Thank you to all the grandparents and special friends who attended Grandparents Afternoon today, the hall was packed and the children performed beautifully.
Thank you to all the families who have taken the time to complete our school survey. We greatly appreciate your feedback and want to ensure that every voice is heard. Your views are invaluable in helping us understand what makes St James special and how we can continue to improve.
Have a lovely half term break, school resumes on Monday 24 February.
Best wishes
Mrs. Wyatt
At St James, we feel it is important to introduce our pupils to stillness and allow them to discover how to be inwardly free and deeply at ease within themselves. A short period of 5-10 minutes at the beginning and middle of every day is allocated to quietude in which pupils may meditate, contemplate or simply be still – according to their own spiritual inclinations.
