The school would like to ask for your kind donations of soup boxes, which will be used for a special video project and donated to Under One Sky. The donations drive will take place from Monday 17 to Friday 21 March. Please leave your donations at reception. We kindly ask for boxes as opposed to individual soup packets or fresh soup. We thank you for your generosity!
Thank you to all the parents yesterday who bought a book from our Library Wishlist to go into our wonderful new Library to complete our library fundraising. There are a few books left on the Wishlist, so if you would like to buy a book for the Library with your family’s name in the front, you can do so here:

Our Grandparents’ Afternoon was a wonderful way to round off last half of term, with each year group from Nursery through to Year 6 performing different musical pieces they’ve been learning in class, as well as our School Choir and Instrument Ensemble performing. Grandparents were incredibly generous and purchased over 20 new books for our new Library from our Library wish list with little plaques in the front of each. Parents will also have the opportunity to purchase books for the Library from the wish list on World Book Day and online next week. Thank you to everyone who came and everyone who generously donated.
The St James Art Sale will be held this year during the week of 24th March in our new Courtyard Café. There will also be an online catalogue to give everyone the chance to view and purchase artworks.
The Art Sale showcases work by our 6th form, alumni artists, parents and other established artists within the St James community. All mediums are welcome and we would love to showcase some parents’ work. If any parents would like to exhibit and sell their work, please let me know and I will send you more information: e.mello@stjamesschools.co.uk
We will share the link to the online catalogue celebrating the amazing artists in the community when it goes live that week.
If you are an artist and would like to be a part of our Art Sale in March, please get in touch with Izzy Cooper on i.cooper@stjamesschools.co.uk who will give you more information.

At St James, we feel it is important to introduce our pupils to stillness and allow them to discover how to be inwardly free and deeply at ease within themselves. A short period at the beginning and end of every lesson is allocated to quietude in which pupils may meditate, contemplate or simply be still – according to their own spiritual inclinations.
