Dear Parents
How quickly the term has sped past! It is remarkable that we only have three days left next week before the holidays begin.
Last night I had the pleasure of attending the joint Prep/Senior production of Mary Poppins. The audience were treated to some beautifully choreographed dances and lots of uplifting music. The highlight for me was the prep bee dance that accompanied ,’A spoonful of sugar’. The children worked so well together and delighted us with their winning smiles. Congratulations to everyone who took part and a big thank you to the children who gave up their play times to rehearse. And a big well done to Mrs Cook and Mr Fairhead.
In assembly this morning we celebrated the winners of the handwriting competition, the bulb growing experts, and the winning Chef Allegra lunch box designers. We will include lists of the winners in our bumper half-termly newsletter next week.
I look forward to seeing you all at the Easter Service on Tuesday 1 April.
I do hope that you have a happy and restful weekend.
Best wishes
Mrs Wyatt
At St James, we feel it is important to introduce our pupils to stillness and allow them to discover how to be inwardly free and deeply at ease within themselves. A short period at the beginning and end of every lesson is allocated to quietude in which pupils may meditate, contemplate or simply be still – according to their own spiritual inclinations.
