Our assembly time was nothing short of inspiring, thanks to a special visit from the legendary Dame Anya Hindmarch.

Known around the world for her iconic fashion designs, Anya has built an incredible career, and has even been recognised by the King himself for her outstanding contributions to British fashion.

But what truly captivated us wasn’t just her success on the global stage, it was her honesty. Anya shared powerful stories from her school days, opening up about the challenges she faced with dyslexia.

Despite struggling in the classroom, she never let it define her. Instead, she used creativity, determination, and a fearless spirit to build a brand that’s now known worldwide.

Her message was clear: obstacles don’t stop you – mindset does. Whether you’re into fashion, science, sports, or anything in between, Anya reminded us all that success comes in many shapes, and sometimes, it starts with a struggle.
