We offer a broad, stimulating and highly creative curriculum that encourages a growth mindset so that the children can take risks and experiment with no fear of failure. We aim to prepare all students for life in senior school, in higher education and work.
Each child is supported to achieve their best in whatever field, whether academic, artistic, sporting, musical, or dramatic. As a school, we take note of the National Curriculum and our teaching often extends beyond it. Each subject is structured to ensure progression in competence and understanding and to allow the children to grow in self-esteem.
We hold a Year Ahead event in September every year where parents meet with the Class Teacher to discuss which topics the children will cover over the year and our expectations for them. This, in addition to weekly letters, and parent-teacher interviews, ensure that parents are informed and able to fully support their child’s learning.
All classrooms have interactive whiteboards and children have access to a range of outstanding learning materials.
