Food & Nutrition
We are proud of our delicious, nutritious vegetarian meals cooked by a talented catering team. Pupils and staff enjoy eating together in our large airy refectory, where they are served hot food, freshly prepared on the premises using top quality, wholesome ingredients. We also hold themed lunches throughout the year, such as The Tiger Who Came to Tea or Alice in Wonderland, which are a real highlight for the children.
We consider good nutrition and a positive attitude towards food to be essential to the children’s health and well-being. We encourage children to try new things and love good food in all its variety in our cooking classes, Art of Hospitality. We launched Art of Hospitality in 2001 and since then have developed a syllabus aimed at developing practical cooking skills and an understanding of where food comes from, and of the benefits of a healthy and balanced diet.
In addition to Art of Hospitality, we also have an edible garden where children plant and nurture many of the ingredients that they then cook with in class.
