Pupils at St James Senior Boys’ School celebrated outstanding A Level results this summer, reflecting their dedication and sheer hard work.

For the fourth year running there was a 100% pass rate overall, but this year the school saw a very marked increase in the percentage of pupils achieving grades A* - B, which increased from 61% in 2016 to 70% in 2017.  This is a fantastic achievement, particularly given that the school does not solely select on academic ability and has a central philosophy around inclusion and educating the whole pupil, spiritually, intellectually and physically.

Mr David Brazier, Headmaster at the school commented ‘It gives me enormous pleasure to see the results that the young men at St James have achieved in their A Levels: I could not be more delighted for them.  These results far outstrip the national average, and are a just reward for the dedication of both pupils and staff at St James. We offer boys a unique environment, where we encourage meditative and contemplative practices, which help to ensure that pupils leave school as well-balanced and emotionally stable individuals, fully prepared to take their place in the world.’
