School Day
The School day begins at 8.15am with boys reporting to their Form Room for Registration.
Three days per week they enjoy a whole-school assembly, which is led by a member of staff. Boys will listen to a moral or religious based story, and will participate in singing.
On the other two days, boys will attend an assembly with their Year group, or they will spend time with their Form class.
Quiet Time is held between 8.25am and 8.35am. Boys participate in this either during assembly or with their Form Group.
Boys attend six lessons per day. Each lesson is 55 minutes long.
The school operates a two week timetable.
Lunch is served at 1pm each day. We serve fresh vegetarian food, which is organic where possible. Typical dishes include Quorn Chilli with rice, roast butternut squash lasagne and pasta with mushroom sauce. In addition to hot food, there is an extensive salad bar, together with fresh hot soup, a sandwich bar, hot and cold desserts and fruit. Boys with allergies are well catered for.
Following lunch, boys enjoy free time where they can play outside, read in the library or attend one of the many lunchtime clinics. Before returning to lessons, they spend time again with their Form Master and participate in afternoon Quiet Time, which is held between 1.35 and 1.45pm.
The school day ends at 4.00pm. Plenty of afterschool activities, including a Homework Club, are available from 4.00pm on Monday to Thursday.
