Wellington

House Colour – Red

Named after Arthur Wellesley (Duke of Wellington from 1769 to 1852) during which time he never lost a battle, the most famous of which was the Battle of Waterloo.

He was Field Marshall and Commander in Chief of the British Army, a Knight of the Garter, Duke of Wellington and Prime Minister, amongst other titles.

Wellington was quoted as saying:

There is a curious thing that one feels: when you are considering a subject, suddenly a whole train of reasoning comes before you like a flash of light

Wellington traditionally perform well at sports and regularly battle for first place at our annual sports day.
