Friends of St James
The Friends of St James has a long history of supporting the schools. It represents the social and fundraising arm of all three St James Schools. It is run by a committee of parents and a system of class co-ordinators.
Friends of St James runs a varied programme of events and initiatives throughout the year, organised by parent volunteers – primarily the Parent Class Coordinators (PCCs), mainly raising funds to enhance the learning and recreational facilities at St James and contributing towards the Schools’ Bursary Fund. It also supports the Schools’ Community Service fundraising. Friends’ events range from the Junior weekly cake sale in the Courtyard on Thursday afternoons to large events such as the Family Fair held at St James Senior Boys which introduced new parents and children to the school and raised funds for the use of all three schools.
