Our school is proud to announce the introduction of the Leiths CTH Level 3 Extended Certificate in Professional Cookery, a hands-on practical cookery course accredited by the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality. This five-term course will offer our Sixth Form students comprehensive training in cooking, food preparation, and wine pairing tailored by experts from Leiths School of Food & Wine.
They will gain hands-on experience through practical lessons to prepare them for professional culinary careers or higher education in the field. The course also includes valuable certifications in Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness, adding a professional edge to our students’ qualifications. Whether for personal enjoyment, university preparation, or a future career in the food industry, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills in our state-of-the-art Teaching Kitchen.
At St James, we feel it is important to introduce our pupils to stillness and allow them to discover how to be inwardly free and deeply at ease within themselves. A short period at the beginning and end of every lesson is allocated to quietude, in which pupils may meditate, contemplate or simply be still – according to their own spiritual inclinations.
With nearly 50% of grades at A* or A every year, and over 90% of leavers gaining a place at their first-choice university, we are committed to supporting you to achieve your best through our unique philosophy-based approach.
With small class sizes and personalised pathways, we help you to pursue your passions and find your true self.
