Impressive Ski and Rowing Achivements!

Well done to Charlotte in Year 8, who represented St James Senior Girls’ School at the 33rd British Interschools ski Championships! She competed in Slalom and Giant Slalom in the under 14s category.

“It was an amazing experience, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to represent the school in a sport that I love so much.”

Jen and Freya, in Year 10, participated in the prestigious Schools Head of the River Race!
Their hard work and dedication were on full display as they competed alongside 320 junior boats from clubs and schools across the country in this significant event of the season.
In an impressive performance, Jen and Freya, who are part of the Barn Elms Rowing Club’s WJ 15s coxed 8 crew, managed to outpace their local rival clubs.
These achievements make all the training in various weather conditions truly worthwhile. Well done!

Let’s keep cheering for our pupils as they continue to excel in their pursuits!

The Pause

At St James, we feel it is important to introduce our pupils to stillness and allow them to discover how to be inwardly free and deeply at ease within themselves. A short period of 5-10 minutes at the beginning and middle of every day is allocated to quietude in which pupils may meditate, contemplate or simply be still – according to their own spiritual inclinations.
