It was a pleasure to welcome award-winning visual artist and performer Gwendolyn Kassenaar for our final Minerva Talk of the year.
In her experimental practice across drawing, painting and performance, she collaborates with renowned musicians and dancers, aided by her synaesthesia.
Recipient of the Serpentine Gallery Support grant (2024), she created an innovative performance ‘A Trajectory to Unsuffocation’ for the Bloomsbury Festival (2022) and regularly creates improvised art live on stage at London’s famous jazz clubs.
She featured in iconic magazine The Wire and was interviewed on Soho Radio, amongst others. Her work is widely exhibited and held by collectors in the UK and abroad.
