The course followed is Syllabus A of the AQA Examining Board in Religious Studies.

The GCSE Religious Studies A specification offers a range of faith-specific options and a variety of relevant and contemporary themes, ensuring the students have a diverse choice of intriguing subjects to explore and discuss. At St James we study Christianity and Buddhism. In recent years we have visited the West London Buddhist Centre and the temporary Buddhism exhibition at the British Library to extend pupils’ appreciation of Buddhist culture and lifestyle.

Students learn how religion, philosophy and ethics form the basis of our culture, and develop valuable skills that will help prepare them for further study.
