"Salma, Warrd and I created a model of the slums in Makoko. We chose to create a model of Makoko, because it is one of a kind. It is the only floating slum in the world, and more than half of Nigeria's residents live in slums.
Our model includes; houses on stilts to prevent flooding, electricity hook ups, and washing lines hung from house to house. Furthermore, we have added fishing nets out of the orange sacks and boats out of boxes as most people in Makoko are in fact, fishers and would own the necessary equipment."
