The Extended Project Qualification is an optional Level 3 qualification that we offer to all sixth form students. This year we had an amazing selection of seven projects submitted for the full qualification (equivalent to half an A-level) which were formally presented during a special after school event last month. Each girl presented her research journey, findings, conclusions, challenges and evaluation.
As part of their assessment, each candidate was asked questions by her supervisor and the girls had an opportunity to demonstrate the expertise they developed in their chosen research areas. Girls chose to investigate questions related to their chosen degree subject such as 'Do the benefits of Artificial Intelligence outweigh the future dangers?' or aligned with their personal interests such as 'Why aren't certain dog breeds used for therapeutic purposes for children?'.
Well done to the hard working students and their supportive supervisors.
