On Saturday 12th January, the U15s played away against Haileybury. The girls played incredibly well, implementing all that they have been taught to secure a fantastic 9-3 win. Most Valued Player was Habi (Year 9). A Special Mention also goes to Sofia (also Year 9) who saved 4 goals.

On Saturday 19th January, the U15s and U13s played away at Abbots Hill. Again, the girls played incredibly well in the sub degree temperatures, keeping in high spirits. The U15s unfortunately lost 8-14 but put up a fantastic fight. Most Valued Player was Sofia.

We had 5 girls playing for the U13s for first time including 9 pupils from Year 7 and the Abbots Hill's team was made up entirely of Year 8 pupils. The girls played really well conceding fewer goals in each quarter than in the previous one. Most Valued Player was Alice (Year 8) who saved an astonishing 22 goals!

On Sunday 20th January, the Senior team went to the South East County Tournament and played: North London Collegiate School, Wycombe High, St Paul's Girls and Walthamstow Hall. Entering the tournament with no subs and in freezing temperatures the girls played phenomenally well. Unfortunately, they lost their first three games 5-3, 5-0 and 5-1 but put up an immense fight. In their last game against Walthamstow Hall the girls scored the first 2 goals. It was a nail biting match: when St James scored, Walthamstow Hall would also score, leaving it down to the last minute when Rachel (Year 13) gained a free position for shooting space and finished the game with a final goal with seconds to spare. The end result was 7-6 to St James. Most Valued Player was Rachel.

Very well done, girls!
