On Tuesday 9th June, Politics Club welcomed Mr Jonathan Ford of the Financial Times to speak on Boris Johnson's leadership amidst the COVID-19 crisis. Mr Ford did this through an excellent and stimulating comparison with UK war-time leadership in both the First and Second World Wars.

Mr Ford drew some interesting parallels, arguing that Mr Johnson mirrored more the leadership of Herbert Asquith, the Liberal Prime Minister 1914-1916, rather than Mr Johnson's own personal hero, Winston Churchill, who managed the government from 1940-1945. Many thanks to Mr Ford for a superb talk.
