On Wednesday 23rd January, the U14 team had their annual County Lacrosse Tournament held at St Paul's. Our first game was against Stowe A team which our girls won 5-3. Our second game was against St Paul's A team which we drew 3-3.

Due to St Paul's only winning against Stowe 3-2, St James went through to the semi-final due to goal difference. In the semi we played against Lady Eleanor Holles (LEH), a team which had come 2nd place in their group round robin. St James went in fighting, leaving the end result at full time 3-3. The game went into extra time (2 minutes each way) and in the last 2 minutes St James scored - leaving us victorious!

This then put us through to the final where we played the winners of Group 1, North London Collegiate School's A team (NLCS). St James started out strong scoring the first goal but NLCS were not giving up without a fight. At half time NLCS were winning 2-1. After an energetic team talk, St James picked up momentum in the 2nd half and scored within minutes. At full time the score was 2-2, resulting in extra time (2 minutes each way). Neither team was willing to concede which meant the match then went to Golden Goal. With the pressure on, St James fought from the centre draw and gained possession, Habi (Year 9) managed to get it behind NLCS's goal to where she ran around the crease with 4 NLCS defenders on her but managed to score the winning goal. St James won the U14 County Lacrosse Tournament!
