On Tuesday, 9th June, Year 9 had a visit from magistrates Lucy Lubbock and Claire Harris.  Normally they would have come into school and given a double lesson presentation, but we managed to cover a lot of ground on Zoom!  The girls learned about being a magistrate as a profession.  They also found out about what happens to people who commit crimes and the sort of decisions that the magistrates have to make regarding bail and weighing up the relevant evidence.  It was a very informative talk and we thank Lucy Lubbock and Claire Harris for donating their time so generously.  This session was followed up in Form time with a website activity which gave pupils the opportunity to look at a case and decide on an outcome.  Mrs Kenwright (Head of PSHEE)
