Dear Year 4 parents,

I’m excited that this term we will be starting ukulele with the Year 4s. In order for them to make progress, we will be lending them ukuleles from the school to practice with. 

I have spoken to them about being responsible with them, and they will come with a case. Instruments do require maintenance and ukuleles are pretty hardy, so if a string breaks, for example, or one of the tuners, please let me know and they are easily repairable. If something more serious happens (for example, one got sat on or was kicked and was damaged irreparably) we would be asking for a £18 contribution towards the cost of a replacement one. 

I will be sending round a link next week with a link to a tuner app and website so your child has something to tune it with in case it starts to sound horrible!
