New York NewYork!

During the first week of October half term, the Creative Arts Departments took 39 students to New York, and what an exceptional trip it was! The boys were mesmerised by the bright lights of the city, the hustle and bustle of Times Square and the history and culture of the arts. They had a very busy week getting involved in workshops, sight-seeing the historic landmarks of the city,  and enjoying all that was creative and so popular in New York, from walking the high line trail to singing along to pop songs at the theatre when we watched Moulin Rouge! The students were outstanding and had an amazing experience.

Visits included: the 9/11 Memorial Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Radio City Music Hall, the Statue of Liberty, Top of the Rock and the Empire state building. Let’s not forget the amazing dining experiences we had too.

The thousands of steps we clocked up around the city gave us time to really get to know each other better. It was a trip in which a lot of memories were made and I hope that everyone will remember it for a long time. We are so proud of how the students conducted themselves in such a large and busy city. There were so many moments of pure joy and we couldn’t have asked for a better time.

Thank you to all of the students who came and made it so worthwhile! Thank you to the incredible staff who worked tirelessly to ensure we had a fantastic trip; it truly wouldn’t have happened without them.. Thank you, Mr Coburn, Ms Waugh, Ms Howard-Andrews and Mrs Bloor.

The trip ended with the students asking the most important question, where to next?

Ms Yadav
