Mr Lempriere will be upping the charity challenge this year and taking on (at least) three ultra events.

On the 3rd and 4th of February, he’ll be taking on the 53km each day, running Pilgrims’ Ultra on the North Downs. In June, he is running the Ultra Challenge Cotswolds Way 100km . Both of these lead up to the main event for the year, which is the Canadian Death Race, a brutal, single stage run with a 24 hour cut off. At 118km , comprising three mountain peaks and 17,000 feet of elevation, this is not for the unprepared. There is the chance of encountering bears and cougars on the route. He hopes he can out run them.

He is raising funds for a cause very close to the St James community: the Royal Brompton and Harefields Hospital. this is the hospital that cared for and saved the life of our friend and colleague Ben Wassell. Donations are very gratefully received at https://www.justgiving.com/page/saltoftheearth
