At St James Senior Girls’ School, our motto guides and supports our teaching, our community, and the way our pupils learn to engage with the world.

Through a diverse range of subjects, we have continued to offer a distinctive and unique approach since 1975. In line with our philosophical and mindful practices we have a moment of stillness at the beginning and end of every lesson and thereby seek to increase the skill of focussed attention every day, year on year, of your child’s education. This makes for happy, well balanced, and aspiring young adults.

Our staff at St James are skilled subject specialists and are deeply committed to the wellbeing of the child in front of them. We believe that every child arrives valued and perfect. We are careful not to chase perfectionism but encourage each pupil to discover their own voice, to build confidence, and strive for the highest levels of excellence of which they are capable.
