Being Head Girl with Zara has been an incredible experience so far. It’s great that thanks to the support for our role and our small-sized school, we can have close connections with younger pupils as well as the leadership team. This has allowed pupils to voice their concerns easily and made the school a pleasant environment to work in.
At the Sixth Form, leadership opportunities are highly encouraged. All Sixth Formers have a role of responsibility, encouraging important skills in preparation for the world beyond St James.
As Sixth Formers, we’re told to set an example and inspire other pupils, but I’ve found that getting to know so many new people this year has helped motivate and inspire me too. You’ll find pupils across the school are highly enthusiastic and passionate, seizing any challenge that may come their way, whether it’s an Assembly presentation, an enrichment project, house debates or committee meets. As the EDI representative of the school, it has been so special hearing from pupils taking pride in who they are, where they’re from and sharing it with the school.
Doing your best at St James never feels like it’s only about getting good grades. It’s about doing the best in whatever it is you wish to pursue. The strong communication between pupils and teachers allows us to hone our own personal goals and get the best results possible.
Whether it’s winning gold in cross country or getting straight 9s at GCSEs, you’re provided with all the tools you need to succeed thanks to the school’s undeniable commitment.
I’d highly recommend coming to St James’ London Sixth Form if you want to build confidence and receive support in whatever you want to pursue. St James is really special for valuing all pupil interests.
